Byrd is the company top producing agent for Roy Wheeler Realty 2 years in a row and recipient of the 2016 & 2015 Outstanding Associate award. Byrd was given the Professional Realtor Award for 2003, 2005, and 2007 and the Top Producer award for 2003-2015. Byrd has been a successful Realtor since 1982, with over $322,000,000 in sales and listings sold.

As a corporate wife she has made several cities “home”; she understands both sides of the buying/selling process and the details involved in becoming a part of a new community such as finding schools, churches, new friends, etc. Byrd holds the respected ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), GRI (Graduate of Realtor Institute), and SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) designations and is a licensed Broker in Virginia and North Carolina.  Byrd is listed in the prestigious publication WHO’S WHO in Residential Real Estate in North America.

 

 

Byrd received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Mary Baldwin College, studied at Seattle Pacific University and was a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship nominee.  Prior to her real estate career, she taught English, modeled and worked in financial market research.  Byrd has been affiliated with Charlotte’s Mint Museum.  She has served on numerous Boards of Directors, including the Southeastern Gallery of Contemporary Art, the Winston-Salem Symphony Guild, the Washington State Crime and Justice Council, and the Junior Leagues of Charlottesville, Seattle, Charlotte, Rumson, and Morristown.  More recently, she has served as a member of the Mary Baldwin College Alumni Board of Trustees and as Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the Matheny School and Hospital Guild in New Jersey and the Kinder-Mourn Board of Directors in Charlotte.  Byrd currently is on the Board of Read Aloud Virginia (RAV), the Sustainer Board of the Junior League of Charlottesville, is active in an Interdenominational Bible Study, a member of the Charlottesville Garden Club, and on the Development Committee for the Senior Center.  She has sponsored Woman United, the Family Foundation, UVA Basketball, Football and Tennis.

Byrd enjoys traveling, cooking, finance, and Bible study.  Other hobbies include floral design, skiing, tennis, along with collecting antiques and oriental porcelain.  Byrd is a native, born and raised in Charlottesville and is a member of Farmington Country Club as well as the Junior League of Charlottesville.  Byrd takes great pleasure in assisting friends and clients with design tips for additions, remodeling projects and decorating.  Byrd is experienced with building and remodeling on a personal as well as professional level and knows the many challenges involved!
